Get To Know Me

Growing up on the East Coast, I never truly understood what mountains were. The Appalachians are more like hills compared to the Rockies. No matter how many times I see the Front Range, it never gets old.
My partner Sarah and I — along with our two cats — moved here in May of 2020, shortly after everything shut down for COVID. We first lived in the West 38 apartments with a west-facing view and spent much of the pandemic staring out at the mountains rising in front of us.

In 2021, we bought our home in the Bel Aire neighborhood. Our neighbors welcomed us in right away, making it easy to feel included and appreciated. It didn’t take long for us to know that Wheat Ridge would be our forever home.
Over the last five years, my wife and I have embraced all the adventures Colorado has to offer. We've hiked and camped across the state, fallen in love with skiing, been stuck in mountain traffic on I-70, enjoyed every season at the Denver Botanic Gardens, got married on top of a mountain, and discovered that hockey is easily the most exciting sport to watch in person.

Still, what we love most is finding a home here in Wheat Ridge. The city’s quirky, small-town charm draws you in, and the passion residents have for this community is contagious. It makes you want to jump in and contribute however you can.
Since my daughter was born earlier this year, I haven’t stopped dreaming about the childhood she’ll have here. The idea that she could walk to school, hang out with friends and grab ice cream down the street, or play sports at the parks in her own backyard is something I could have never imagined as a child. I want that dream to be reality, to ensure Wheat Ridge stays accessible and safe as it grows. I want my daughter to fall in love with this community just like I have.
